Privacy Policy
Last updated October 12, 2026
Prely is software that local businesses use to take pre-orders and pickup orders. This policy explains what information Prely handles, why, and the choices you have. We keep it short and specific to how Prely actually works.
Who this covers
- Businesses and their team members who use Prely Business (app.prely.us) to run their store. For this information, Prely decides how it is used.
- Customers who order from a business’s Prely storefront (for example yourstore.prely.us). Each business is responsible for its relationship with its customers; Prely stores and processes customer information on the business’s behalf to provide the service.
What we collect
From businesses and team members
- Account details: name, email address and sign-in information. Passwords are handled by our sign-in provider and are never visible to Prely staff.
- Business details you enter: business name, address, phone, branding, menu, prices, pickup schedule and settings.
- Activity records: an audit log of changes made in your workspace (who changed what, and when, with the IP address), used for security and to help you see what happened.
- Subscription details: your plan and order counts. If you pay Prely by card, the card is handled by our payment provider; Prely does not store card numbers.
From customers of a business
- Order details: what you ordered, pickup time and location, notes, and the order total.
- Contact details you give at checkout: name, email and phone number, so the business can reach you about your order.
- If you sign in: your email address and sign-in information, your order history at that store, saved favorites, and whether you agreed to receive offers by email or text.
- Records the business keeps about its customers, such as notes or a decision not to accept further orders. These are internal to the business and are not shown on the storefront.
Automatically
- Basic technical information such as IP address, browser type and request times, used to keep the service secure (for example to stop automated abuse) and to fix problems.
- Cookies and browser storage that make the service work: a secure sign-in cookie for team members, and storage in your browser for your cart, your sign-in, and the orders you placed on that device. Prely does not use advertising cookies or sell browsing data.
How we use information
- To run the service: show menus, take and manage orders, check pickup capacity and limits, and let businesses manage their team.
- To keep accounts and orders secure, prevent fraud and abuse, and investigate problems.
- To send service messages, such as sign-in codes and important account notices.
- To bill businesses for their Prely plan, based on the orders they confirm.
- To improve Prely, using information in aggregate.
Businesses may contact their own customers about orders. A business may send offers only to customers who agreed to receive them, and you can change that choice at any time in your profile on that store.
Who we share it with
We do not sell personal information. We share it only as needed to run Prely:
- The business you order from receives your order and contact details.
- Service providers that host and run Prely for us, under contracts that limit their use of the data: Supabase (database and sign-in; data is stored in Canada), Vercel (website hosting), and an email delivery provider for sign-in codes.
- Payment providers (Stripe or Helcim), when a business turns on online payment. Card details go directly to them and are never stored by Prely.
- Google, if you choose to sign in with Google. We receive your name and email address from Google.
- When required by law, or to protect the rights and safety of people using Prely.
How long we keep it
We keep information while the business’s account is active, because businesses need their order history for their own records. When a business closes its account, its workspace is removed from the service and its data is deleted after a short retention period. Security records such as the audit log are kept for as long as they are needed to protect accounts.
Your choices and rights
- Customers can update their name, phone and marketing choices in their profile on the store, and can ask to have their account deleted (see Delete your data).
- You can ask to see, correct or delete information we hold about you. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local privacy laws. For orders placed with a business, we may forward your request to that business, since it controls its customer records.
- Email support@prely.us from the email address on your account. We will confirm the request is yours before acting on it.
Security
Each business’s data is kept separate from every other business’s, and access is checked on our servers on every request. Data is encrypted in transit. No system is perfectly secure, so please tell us at support@prely.us if you notice anything wrong.
Children
Prely is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes and contact
If we make important changes we will update this page and the date above, and tell businesses in Prely Business. Questions: support@prely.us. Prely, Address to be added when the company is registered.
